Facts

Europium is not found in nature in its elemental form but occurs in various minerals, primarily in monazite and bastnäsite. It is relatively rare, with an abundance of about 2 parts per million in the Earth's crust.

This Rare Earth Element is considered to have low to moderate toxicity. It is relatively non-toxic compared to other heavy metals, and its biological role is minimal. While europium salts could be mildly toxic by ingestion, the toxicity has not been fully investigated. Overall, europium poses no significant environmental threat to plants or animals.
