Magnesium and CRP levels

A new meta analysis and systematic review, published April 2014 now indicates that dietary magnesium intake is inversely associated with Serum C-reactive protein levels.

The TACT study also indicated that NaMgEDTA infusions positively influenced diabetics and patients who had suffered myocardial infarcts. See TACT Study under EDTA.

The use of CaEDTA could not provide similar results, because the intravenous administration of high amounts of calcium would act as a magnesium antagonist.
